ITM Announce New Midlands Chairman

Updated: 11-12-2012

ITM have announced today that Alison Churchill has been appointed ITM Midlands Regional Chairman.

Alison has a wealth of public sector procurement experience having worked across NHS, local government and now a non-departmental public body, however it was working at the BBC that generated her interest in business travel. Her current role heading up the procurement team at the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board has meant that her involvement in the business travel industry has increased and she has been an active part of the ITM over recent years. As a fully qualified member of CIPS, Alison is keen to further develop the strategic partnership between the ITM and CIPS in the region and deliver educational events which support both professions.

In her role as Regional Chairman for ITM in the Midlands, Alison will develop and lead the regional committee in their efforts to support and deliver value to the local ITM members. Alison will work closely with the ITM board, secretariat and other regional chairs from across the UK to ensure the interests of ITM Midlands members are well represented.

Commenting on her appointment, Alison said, "I am delighted to take up the role as regional chair for the Midlands and can't wait to engage with our members over the coming years and support them in ways in which they need."

Simone Buckley, ITM CEO added "I am thrilled that Alison has been appointed to take up this post. Alison is passionate about ITM and developing the activity in the Midlands and I'm confident that with her drive and energy she will help us achieve this."
