ITM Releases Third "How To..." Guide - The Fundamentals of a Global Travel Programme

Updated: 03-05-2011

The Institute of Travel & Meetings (ITM) UK & Ireland has announced the launch of it's third "How To..." guide this year, focusing on the Fundamentals of a Global Travel Programme. The guide follows on the footsteps of the associations Fundamentals of a Travel Programme guide issued in January and part one of its Meetings & Events guide launched in February of this year.

The guide moves through sections from understanding your company to identifying your objectives and where to start, right the way through to benchmarking, data gathering and assembling the business case. After these initial sections of the 31 page report, the guide then looks at internal stakeholders, policy and process as well as global servicing models & global supply sector specifics.

Talking about the launch of the guide to ITM members, Jamie Hindhaugh, ITM's chairman, said, "We set out a plan to deliver valuable reports and resources to our members during 2011 and this guide is just one of these in a whole series. If you're planning on consolidating your global business travel expenditure, the guide is an incredibly useful template created after interviews with some of the industry's leading global operators."

The report is available to members via the ITM website.
